Privacy Policy

Effective September 15, 2026

Anno Music ("Anno") is operated by Oroonie, LLC. This policy explains how we handle information in our website, iOS app, and Apple Watch companion. Anno helps you practice music with visual guidance and microphone-based feedback.

Information we collect

Microphone and photo access

When you enable the microphone, Anno analyzes audio on your device to recognize notes, rhythm, and tuning. Our current practice and tuner features do not upload or retain audio recordings. Practice results, rather than raw audio, may be saved and synchronized. You can stop the microphone in Anno or revoke permission in your browser or device settings.

If you select a profile photo, that image is uploaded for your profile. We do not upload your entire photo library. The Watch companion exchanges practice information with your paired phone to display guidance and session status.

How we use information

We use information to provide practice feedback, remember preferences, track achievements, synchronize progress across devices, support optional social features, send sign-in emails, respond to support requests, and maintain and protect Anno.

Local storage and account synchronization

Anno uses browser local storage or native device storage for preferences, sign-in state, and practice history. You can practice without an account. When you sign in, locally saved progress may be merged with your account and become available on your other signed-in devices. Signing out does not necessarily erase local progress. Clearing browser data or app data may remove unsynchronized progress.

Sharing and service providers

Accepted friends can see information made available through the friends feature, such as your display name, profile image, and practice progress. If you choose to share a stats card, it is sent to the people or apps you select; their handling of that information is governed by their own policies.

We use service providers to operate Anno, including Supabase for authentication, database and photo storage; Resend for email delivery; and Vercel for website hosting. These providers process information needed to perform their services. Information may be processed outside your state or country. We may also disclose information when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect users, security, or legal rights.

We do not sell personal information or use it for third-party targeted advertising.

Retention and your choices

We retain information as needed to provide Anno and meet legitimate security, operational, and legal requirements. To request access, correction, or deletion of your account or personal information, email ben@neighboroonie.com. We may ask you to verify ownership before acting. Some records may remain temporarily in backups or where retention is legally required. Copies you have shared with other people or services may remain with them.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights, including rights to access, delete, correct, or obtain a copy of your information. Contact us to exercise them.

Children's privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Please do not create an account or submit personal information for a child under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it as appropriate.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect information. No online service or storage system can guarantee complete security.

Updates and contact

We may update this policy as Anno changes. Updates will appear here with a revised effective date. For privacy questions or requests, contact Oroonie, LLC at ben@neighboroonie.com.
